Bridge COOK and SOL
Move COOK or SOL between Solana and Cookie Chain with Hyperlane. How to bridge, what it costs, how long it takes, and what each status means.
The bridge moves COOK and SOL between Solana and Cookie Chain, in either direction. It uses Hyperlane, an interchain protocol: your tokens are locked or burned on one side and released on the other. Nobody holds them on the way.
What arrives where
| You send | You receive |
|---|---|
| COOK on Solana | Native COOK on Cookie Chain |
| Native COOK on Cookie Chain | COOK on Solana |
| SOL on Solana | SOL on Cookie Chain, bridged from Solana, always 1 to 1 |
| SOL on Cookie Chain | Native SOL on Solana |
Funds always arrive at your own address on the other network. There's nothing to type, and you can't bridge to someone else. To pay someone on the other network, bridge to yourself, then send.
Bridge
- Open the Swap tab and tap Bridge. Or tap Add on Home, then Bridge from Solana (on Cookie Chain) or Bridge from Cookie Chain (on Solana).
- Choose COOK or SOL.
- Check the cards: FROM and TO show the two networks.
- Enter the amount, or tap your balance to use the most you can.
- Check You receive, the Bridge fee, the Network cost and Arrives in. Tap Review.
- On Review bridge, read Leaves your wallet and How it gets there. Morsel checks the bridge with the network first: Checked on [network]: this will go through.
- Press and hold Hold to bridge.
From the Swap tab, the bridge goes from the network you're on to the other one. To bridge the other way, switch networks first.
How long it takes
About 30 seconds to Cookie Chain, and about a minute to Solana.
The result sheet follows three steps: Sent from [network], Crossing with Hyperlane, then Arrived on [network], ending in Bridge complete. You can close it. Bridges in progress also show on Home, and in the iPhone and Android apps you get a notification when it arrives.
If it takes longer than five minutes, the sheet says Still on its way and Home says Taking longer than usual. It’s safe. Your tokens have left the first network and are being delivered. Check again later.
What it costs
| Cost | How much |
|---|---|
| Bridge fee | 0.3% of the amount, taken from what you send, in the token you bridge. |
| Network cost | About 0.003 SOL from Solana, or about 0.0041 COOK from Cookie Chain. It includes Hyperlane's message delivery. |
| Account rent | A small one-time amount when the other side needs a new token account. |
| Fee account setup | The first time anyone's wallet bridges SOL out of Cookie Chain: 0.00207408 COOK, once. |
Very large COOK bridges, above 350,000 COOK, or bridges when the other side is short of COOK, can go by a different route with a higher fee. The Bridge fee row always shows the exact amount, so check it before you tap Review.
Every cost is listed on Review bridge before you hold. Morsel checks each Hyperlane bridge transaction before signing it, and refuses one whose fee is over 0.3% or goes anywhere other than Morsel's fee address. See Fees.
Max keeps back enough COOK or SOL to pay the network cost.
If something goes wrong
- Not enough [token]. Lower the amount, and leave enough for the network cost.
- The bridge can pay out up to [amount] right now. The other side can't cover that much at the moment. Bridge a smaller amount, or split it.
- This bridge would fail. Morsel's check found a problem before anything was sent. Read the reason, then tap Check again.
- Bridge didn’t go through. Nothing left your wallet. Try again.
