Troubleshooting
Fixes for the most common problems, by symptom. Unlocking, missing balances, failed sends and swaps, bridges, dApps, chats and notifications.
Your funds live on the blockchain, not in the app. Reinstalling Morsel, or removing a wallet from a device, never loses funds, as long as you have the recovery phrase or private key.
I forgot my password
Morsel can't reset it. Remove the wallets from this device and import them again with their recovery phrases. See Forgot your password?
The lock screen says to wait
After three wrong passwords, Morsel makes you wait, up to 15 minutes per try. Wait for the timer, then type carefully. Check Caps Lock is on.
Face ID or fingerprint doesn't work
- Make sure Face ID, Touch ID or a fingerprint is set up in your phone's settings.
- Tap Use password and unlock with your password.
- Turn Unlock with Face ID off and on again in Settings → Security & privacy.
The extension keeps asking for my password
For security, the extension's background session lasts about 5 minutes after you close it. See Unlock, Face ID and auto-lock.
My recovery phrase won't import
- Check every word's spelling and order, separated by single spaces.
- Morsel imports 12 and 24-word phrases. 15, 18 and 21-word phrases don't work.
- Private keys must be in base58, the format Phantom and Solflare export.
- See Import a wallet.
My balance or a token is missing
- Check the network at the top right. Tokens on Solana don't show on Cookie Chain, and the other way round.
- Check the wallet. Tap your wallet name to see your other wallets.
- Pull down to refresh, or tap the refresh button.
- Check hidden tokens in Manage tokens, with Filter → Disabled tokens.
- Add it with Manage tokens → + if Morsel doesn't know it. See Tokens and Manage tokens.
My NFT is missing
Scroll to the bottom of Collectibles and tap Hidden ([n]). See Hidden and unverified NFTs.
Someone sent me tokens and I don't see them
Ask which network they used, and switch to it. Ask for the transaction ID and open it in an explorer. If it's confirmed there, it's in your wallet. See Receive.
I sent on the wrong network
Your address is the same on both networks, so the funds are at that address on the network you used. If you sent to another Morsel user, they'll find it there. If you sent to an exchange that doesn't support that network, contact the exchange. See Your address on each network.
A send failed
Read the reason on the result sheet. Most often you need a little COOK or SOL for the network fee. See Send tokens.
A swap failed
See When a swap fails.
A bridge is taking long
After five minutes Morsel says Still on its way. Your tokens have left the first network and are being delivered. Check again later. See Bridge COOK and SOL.
A private send hasn't arrived
Private sends leave with the next private batch, and most arrive within half an hour. Larger ones can arrive in parts. If it can't be delivered, it comes back to your wallet. See Private sends.
My limit order hasn't filled
It only fills if the market reaches your price before it expires, and can fill in parts. See Limit orders.
My stake still says Activating
Stakes start at the next epoch: up to about 54 hours on Cookie Chain, about two days on Solana. See Stake COOK.
A dApp doesn't see Morsel
- Refresh the page after installing or unlocking Morsel.
- On a computer, turn off other wallet extensions for a moment, in case they clash.
- On your phone, open the dApp inside Morsel's browser, from Apps or search.
- If Private mode is on, the site sees your private wallet, not your main one.
Chats don't appear
Chats pause in Private mode, on watched wallets, and while Morsel is locked. See Start a chat.
Notifications don't arrive
