Fees

Every fee you can pay in Morsel, in one place. What goes to the network, what goes to Morsel, and where each one is shown before you confirm.

There are two kinds of fees. Network fees go to the network that processes your transaction. Morsel fees go to Morsel, only on a few features, and are always shown before you confirm.

Network fees

Every transaction pays a small network fee in the network's own coin: COOK on Cookie Chain, SOL on Solana. It's usually a tiny fraction of a coin.

Some actions also pay one-time costs to the network:

  • Account setup, or rent. The first time a wallet holds a token, the network needs a small account for it. If you send a token to someone who has never held it, you pay for their account once.
  • Account deposits for stake accounts and recurring payments. These come back to you when you withdraw or stop.
  • Priority fees on Solana swaps, which you choose: Low, Medium, High or Turbo. Cookie Chain has none.
  • Bridge network cost, about 0.003 SOL from Solana or 0.0041 COOK from Cookie Chain, which includes Hyperlane's message delivery.

Other costs that aren't fees

  • Slippage and price impact on swaps aren't fees, but they change what you receive. See Slippage and price impact.
  • Creator tips on Cookie Chain swaps are optional and go to the token's creator, not to Morsel.
  • Limit order fees on Cookie Chain are charged by the order program when an order fills, and are included in You'll receive if filled.
