Limit orders

Sell a token automatically when it reaches your price, on Cookie Chain or Solana. Place, track and cancel limit orders.

A limit order trades only when the market reaches a price you choose. You set the price and how long it stays open. It then fills on its own, even while Morsel is closed, and you can cancel it any time before it fills.

Where your tokens wait

Limit orders are non-custodial. When you place one, the tokens you're selling move into an on-chain account for that order, which only the order's rules can release.

  • On Cookie Chain, orders use an on-chain limit order program. Keepers fill an order once the market reaches your price.
  • On Solana, orders use Jupiter's limit orders. Jupiter fills them when the price is reached.

Cancelling returns whatever hasn't filled to your wallet.

Place a limit order

  1. Open the Swap tab and tap Limit at the top.
  2. In the SELL card, choose the token and the amount.
  3. Choose the token you want to receive.
  4. Under LIMIT PRICE, set your price as 1 [token] = [price] [token]. Start from Market, or tap +1%, +5% or +10% above it. The order fills once 1 of your token is worth at least this much.
  5. Check You'll receive if filled and the badge showing how far your price is above market or below market.
  6. Under EXPIRES IN, choose 1H, 1D (the default), 1W, 30D or Never.
  7. Tap Place limit order and approve.

You'll see Order placed: It fills on its own when the price is reached. You can cancel it any time.

Track your orders

Your orders are listed under OPEN ORDERS on the Limit screen.

StatusMeaning

40% filled (for example)Partly filled. The bar shows how much.
Filling…Being filled right now. You can't cancel at this moment.
Expired · refundingExpired. What didn't fill is on its way back to you.

On Solana, the list shows every open order as Until cancelled, whatever expiry you chose. The order still expires on time.

In the iPhone and Android apps, Morsel notifies you when a Cookie Chain order fills, partly fills or expires. Check Solana orders in the list.

Cancel an order

  1. Find the order under OPEN ORDERS.
  2. Tap Cancel and approve.

You'll see Order cancelled: What was left of it is back in your wallet. If it says The order couldn't be cancelled. Try again., wait a moment and retry.

Tokens on a launch curve

On Cookie Chain, tokens still trading on their MomoSwap launch curve work a little differently:

  • The other side of the order must be COOK. If it isn't, the button says Pair it with COOK.
  • Buying: your COOK is held for the order. When it fills, the tokens go into your MomoSwap position.
  • Selling: the button says Authorise sale. Nothing leaves your wallet until the order fills, and it ends when the launch sale ends at the latest, so Never isn't available.

Fees

  • Network fees to place and to cancel.
  • On Cookie Chain, the order program takes a small maker fee from what you receive when the order fills. You'll receive if filled already accounts for it.
  • Morsel adds no fee of its own to limit orders.

Things to know

  • A watched wallet can't place orders: the button says Can’t sign with this wallet.
  • On Cookie Chain, tokens that charge a transfer fee or run a transfer hook can't be used in limit orders.
  • To change an order's price, cancel it and place a new one.
