Import a wallet
Bring an existing wallet into Morsel with its 12 or 24-word recovery phrase or its private key, including wallets from Phantom, Solflare and Backpack.
You can open any wallet you already have in Morsel: one you made in Morsel on another device, or one from another Solana wallet app. All you need is its recovery phrase or private key. It never leaves your device.
Import during setup
- Open Morsel. On the welcome screen, tap I already have a wallet.
- On Import a wallet, type or paste your recovery phrase or private key. Paste fills the box from your clipboard.
- Morsel tells you what it found: 12-word recovery phrase, 24-word recovery phrase or Private key. If it says Not a valid phrase or key, check what you typed.
- Under Set a password for this device, choose a password and type it twice. It needs 8+ characters, Uppercase, Lowercase, Number and Symbol.
- On iPhone and Android, choose whether to unlock with Face ID or your fingerprint.
- Tap Continue.
- On Choose your networks, pick Cookie Chain, Solana or both. Morsel checks both networks and marks the ones where your address Has activity.
- Tap Import wallet. Your balances load on Home.
A wallet you import during setup counts as backed up, because you already have its phrase or key.

Add another wallet later
Already set up? You can import more wallets from the wallet picker.
- Tap your wallet name at the top of the screen.
- Tap Add new wallet, then Import with a Secret Recovery Phrase or Private Key.
- Choose the network to open it on. The wallet still works on both networks.
- Paste the phrase or key and tap Import wallet.
Wallets you add this way show the Back up your wallet chip until you finish a backup for them. See Manage your wallets.
Why is my address different?
Morsel uses the standard Solana path, m/44'/501'/0'/0', for the first address of a recovery phrase. Phantom, Solflare and Backpack use the same path, so you'll see the same address. If your old wallet used a different path or several accounts, the address Morsel shows may be different or empty. Your funds are still safe on the old address. Import that account's private key instead.
If something goes wrong
- That phrase or key didn't work. Check it and try again. One word is misspelled or out of order. Every word must be from the standard recovery phrase word list. Morsel only checks the phrase fully when you tap Continue, so a phrase can look valid and still fail.
- This wallet is already here as "[name]". The wallet is already in Morsel. Switch to it from the wallet picker.
- Unlock Morsel again, then try importing. On the extension, Morsel's background session ended. Close and reopen Morsel, unlock, and try again.
