Send tokens

Pay an address, a contact or a name like alice.cook in three short steps, and check the payment before it leaves your wallet.

Sending happens in one sheet with three steps: Send to, Amount and Review. You send on the network that's active at the top of your wallet, so check it first. See Switch networks.

Send to, Amount, Review, then hold to send.

Send in three steps

  1. On Home, tap Send. You can also open a token and tap Send there, which picks that token for you.
  2. On Send to, type a name or paste an address in Name or address, or pick someone from your lists. Tap Continue.
  3. On Amount, enter how much. Tap the asset pill to change what you send, or use 25%, 50% or Max. Tap Review.
  4. On Review, check the recipient, the network fee and the total.
  5. Press and hold Hold to send until the button fills. It takes about a second and a half. Let go early and nothing is sent.

The result sheet shows Sending… and then Sent. You can close it while it's still sending. The payment keeps going.

Who you can send to

The Send to field accepts:

  • An address. Tap Paste, or on iPhone and Android tap the QR button to scan one.
  • A name. .cook names resolve on Cookie Chain. .sol and other Solana names resolve on Solana. When a name resolves, Morsel shows the address it found. Check it.
  • A payment link that starts with cookie: or solana:. Morsel fills in the recipient and the amount.
  • A private address that starts with msv1:. See Receive.

Below the field you'll find three lists. Typing filters all of them.

ListWhat's in it
RecentThe last people you paid from this device.
ContactsYour saved contacts and the wallets you watch, in one list. See Contacts and watched wallets.
My walletsYour other wallets in Morsel. Hidden while Private mode is on.

Warnings on Send to

Morsel checks every recipient and tells you when something looks off. These warnings don't stop you, so read them.

WarningWhat it means
First time paying this addressYou've never paid it before. Compare it with the address they gave you, character by character.
This looks like a saved address, but isn’tIt starts and ends like someone you know, but the middle is different. Scammers make lookalike addresses on purpose. Tap Pay [name] instead if you meant your contact.
This is a program, not a walletMoney sent to a program address is usually lost for good. Don't send.
This is a token account, not a walletPayments should go to the wallet that owns it. Tap Use the owner’s address.
[name] is a [network] nameThe name belongs to the other network. Make sure the person uses this address there too, or switch networks.
This is a [network] payment linkThe link is for the other network. Tap the switch button and Morsel reopens Send there with the same link.
This is your own addressThe payment comes back to this wallet.

Choose the amount

  • Max sends everything you can. For COOK or SOL it keeps back enough for the network fee.
  • Tap the value under the amount to type it in your currency instead.
  • If the recipient has never held this token, the first payment also opens their token account. You pay for that once, and Review shows it as Account setup.

Common messages:

MessageWhat to do
That’s more than you have.Tap Use max, or lower the amount.
Leave a little [COOK or SOL] for the network fee.Lower the amount slightly, or use Max.
This address is new on [network], so the first payment must be at least…A brand new address needs a small minimum the first time. Send at least that much.
Keep at least … in your wallet, or send it all with Max.A wallet can't be left with a tiny amount below the network's minimum. Send a little less, or send everything.

Review before you send

Review shows the amount, To, Network, Network fee (paid by you), Account setup when needed, and the Total.

Morsel also runs the payment as a dry run. You'll see Checked: this payment will go through. If it says This payment would fail, the reason is shown and Hold to send stays off until you fix it. Tap Check again after a change.

From Review you can also:

  • turn on Private send, to hide your wallet from the recipient. See Private sends;
  • turn on Repeat, to pay the same amount on a schedule. See Recurring sends;
  • Add a message that only the recipient can read, or a Public on-chain note. See Messages and notes.

After you send

On Sent you'll see the recipient, the network fee and the transaction. Tap View on explorer to open it in your preferred explorer, or View in Activity to see it in your history.

If it says Send failed, the sheet tells you why in one sentence. Nothing left your wallet unless the transaction reached the network, in which case only the network fee was spent.

ReasonWhat to do
This wallet has no [COOK or SOL] on [network] yet, so it can’t pay the network fee.Add a little COOK or SOL first.
Not enough [COOK or SOL] for the network fee and account rent.Add a little and try again.
Your balance changed and is now too low for this amount.Lower the amount and try again.
The network was busy and the payment expired. Nothing left your wallet.Try again.
Couldn’t reach the network.Check your connection and try again.

Scan a QR code

On iPhone and Android, tap the scan button at the top of Home, or the QR button in the Send to field. Point the camera at an address.

  • A plain address opens Send with that recipient, after you pick a token.
  • A solana: link uses only the address. Enter the amount yourself.
  • A Morsel connect code from a desktop site connects that site to your phone. See Connect to a dApp.

The Chrome extension has no scanner. Paste the address instead.

Send to an exchange

Exchanges often give you an address and a memo. Paste the address, then on Review add the memo as a Public on-chain note. If the exchange's account requires a note, Morsel shows Public note (required) and won't send until you add it. See Messages and notes.

Only send to an exchange on the network it supports. Many exchanges support Solana but not Cookie Chain.
