Swap tokens
Trade one token for another at the best price Morsel finds, on Cookie Chain or Solana. How to swap, how the route is chosen, and how to read the quote.
Swap trades one token for another on the network you're on. Morsel compares exchanges for you and uses the better price.
Swap in four steps
- Open the Swap tab, or tap Swap on Home. You can also open a token and tap Swap or Buy, which fills in that token.
- In SELL, tap the token and choose what to sell. In BUY, choose what you want. Search by name or symbol, or paste a token's address.
- Type an amount, or tap 25%, 50% or MAX. Tap the value under it to enter the amount in your currency.
- Check the quote, tap Swap, read Confirm Swap, then press and hold Hold to Swap until it fills.
The result sheet shows Swapping…, then Swap complete with what you paid and received, the route and the network fee. You can close it while it's still going.
How Morsel chooses the route
On Cookie Chain, Morsel asks two exchange aggregators, CookieBox and CookieScan, for a price at the same time and uses whichever gives you more. Each one searches Cookie Chain's liquidity pools for the best path. Tokens still trading on a MomoSwap launch curve are bought and sold on that curve. The Provider row shows which one your swap uses.
On Solana, Morsel uses Jupiter, which searches most Solana exchanges and can split your trade across several of them. The Route row shows Best Rate and the exchanges your trade passes through. Some newly launched tokens are routed through their own launch platform instead.
Quotes refresh about every 20 seconds. A green dot next to the rate means it's live.
Read the quote
| Row | What it means |
|---|---|
| Provider (Cookie Chain) or Route (Solana) | Where your swap is routed. |
| Minimum Received | The least you'll get, after slippage. Tap it to change slippage. See Slippage and price impact. |
| Price Impact | How much your own trade moves the price. Grey under 1%, amber from 1% to 3%, red from 3%. |
| Rate | The exchange rate. Tap to flip it or see it in your currency. |
| Priority Fee (Solana) | Low, Medium (the default), High or Turbo. Higher can land faster when Solana is busy, for a slightly higher fee. |
| Network Fee | The fee paid to the network, not to Morsel. |
Confirm Swap repeats the key numbers and adds Slippage and the Platform Fee, Morsel's fee for the swap. See Fees.
Unverified tokens
Anyone can create a token with any name and logo. If the token you're buying isn't verified, Confirm Swap shows an Unverified chip next to its address. Compare the address with the one the project publishes before you swap. See Scam tokens and NFTs.
Tip the creator
On Cookie Chain, when Morsel knows who created a token, Confirm Swap offers Tip creator: Off, 0.5%, 1% or 2%, paid in COOK to the token's creator. It's off unless you choose a tip.
Keep a little for fees
Every swap pays a small network fee in COOK or SOL, plus Morsel's fee. When you tap MAX on COOK or SOL, Morsel keeps 0.01 back for you. If you see Insufficient COOK for fees (or SOL), add a little first.
