Receive

Share your address or QR code to get paid, share a wallet card, and receive on a private address that hides you as the recipient.

To receive, give the sender your address. It's the same on Cookie Chain and Solana, but what you receive lands on the network the sender used.

Show your address

  1. On Home, tap Add, then Receive.
  2. Scan to Receive shows your QR code and Your [network] address.
  3. Tap the address to copy it, or let the sender scan the code.

For a quick copy, tap Copy on Home, or tap the address at the top of the screen.

Share a wallet card

Tap Share wallet card to share a card with your address and QR code. On a phone it opens the share sheet. On the extension it copies the card, or saves it.

The card always shows your standard address.

Private address

A private address lets people pay you without your wallet showing up as the receiver. Each payment lands on a fresh one-time address that only your wallet can find and spend from. Private addresses start with msv1:.

  1. On Scan to Receive, switch from Standard to Private.
  2. Copy the private address and give it to the sender. They paste it into Send in their wallet. Morsel supports it; many other wallets don't yet.

While Morsel is open and unlocked on Home, it watches for these payments and moves them into your wallet at a random time over the next 1 to 12 hours, so the move can't easily be matched to the payment.

Let others pay you privately publishes your private address, so anyone who pays your normal address in Morsel pays the private one instead. You can turn it off any time.

Good to know:

  • A private address hides you as the receiver. The sender is still visible. To hide the sender, they use a private send. See Private sends.
  • Payments are collected only while Morsel is open and unlocked, on the network they arrived on.
  • Morsel's QR scanner can't read private addresses yet. Copy and paste them.

Receiving from an exchange

When you withdraw from an exchange, choose the network that matches where you want the funds: Solana, or Cookie Chain if the exchange supports it. Paste your Morsel address. No memo is needed.

Why haven't I received it?

  • Check the network. Switch networks and look again.
  • Check the wallet. Make sure you gave the address of the wallet you're looking at.
  • Pull to refresh on Home.
  • Ask for the transaction ID and open it in an explorer. If it's confirmed there, it's in your wallet.
  • Tiny payments from strangers may be hidden as dust. See Activity.
